BBG Exercise
For me, physical activity has always helped my symptoms. I always say that during my work out, my UC is totally under control. I don’t have any cramping or discomfort. I mentioned this to my doctor who told me that Exercise helps to stimulate the production of Serotonin which is an important chemical and neurotransmitter in the human body. It is believed to help regulate appetite and digestion. Serotonin is produced in the brain and the gut and there are studies which have shown that serotonin plays a major role in regulating gastrointestinal health. Soooo that’s why I feel so good when I workout!
Since flaring, I haven’t been able to hit the gym, so I have been doing my best to do @kayla_itsines 28 minute workouts. They are quick and easy especially for moms or people who don’t have time or ability to hit a gym or training facility. Her book outlines her famous BBG workout plans and contains a great deal of information about food and exercise. The book also includes meal plans and exercise routines to help you stay on track. I encourage you to check out @kayla_itsines IG account for more info!
